The result of these students has been amended accordingly. The notification is available on the JKBOSE website https://jkbose.nic.in/.

What are statutory marks?

Statutory marks are marks awarded by a board to a student in a subject in which the student has failed to secure the minimum passing marks. These marks are awarded in special cases, such as when a student has been ill during the exam or has a learning disability.

Why would a student request the withdrawal of statutory marks?

There are a few reasons why a student might request the withdrawal of statutory marks. One reason is that the student may want to retake the exam and earn a passing grade on their own merit. Another reason is that the student may not need the statutory marks to meet their educational goals.
