Finally, after a month-long dry spell in the Kashmir region, snowfall has begun in the parts of Kashmir

According to reports Heavily snowing in Herpora shopian, 2 inches Snowfall accumulated in the area. Peer Ki Gali received 4-5 inches fresh snowfall.

Meanwhile, the weatherman has predicted that there will be isolated to scattered light rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir in the next few days.

The Meteorological Office has issued an advisory from January 28-31, warning of the possibility of temporary road closures in higher reaches and important passes like Sinthan pass, Mughal Road, Sadhna and Razdan pass, Zojila, etc.

Travelers are advised to plan accordingly, according to a statement from a meteorological department official told.
