School Summer Vacation Extends Again For Govt, Primary, Upper Primary Schools- Check Dates Here

The UP Basic Education Council has extended the summer vacation at the state’s Government institutions, primary and upper primary till July 2. According to Pratap Singh Baghel, secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Basic Shiksha Parishad, all basic and upper primary schools in the state would resume on July 3rd.  This year, the UP government has extended the summer holiday for children in government primary and upper elementary schools twice.

The schools were scheduled to return on June 15th. Despite the heat wave, it was extended to June 25. The schools reopened for one day on June 21 to commemorate World Yoga Day. Schools will return on July 3 on the previously planned schedule and timetable.

According to the government’s statement, before reopening, adequate lavatory cleanliness, drinking water availability, and acceptable child-friendly seating arrangements will be ensured.

Teachers were asked to complete all processes at their level prior to the school’s start, including mid-day lunches, textbook distribution, DBT (Direct Benefit) work, and other duties.

Furthermore, recognised schools governed by the U.P. Basic Education Council will be able to transfer cleanliness decision-making authority to the School Management Committee.
